Hi All,

Simple question, hope there is a simple answer :) (but cant seem to find it).

I have an Excel sheet that I would like to export to a tab delimited text file. When I do this, because the data in my columns has commas in it the data is exported with " " marks surrounding the text.

Now I understand the point of this (to protect comma delimited imports) however is there a way to NOT have these in the export file?

For example:

Smith, Dr John (in Excel) is exported and shown in the tab delimited text file as "Smith, Dr John".

Is it possible to save a tab delimieted text file with text that contains commans WITHOUT the surrounding " " marks?

Thanks!

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
