Is there a way to retain a Digital Signature in this scenario?

I have a workbook that begins life with 5 sheets when it's distributed to the field. One of the sheets (I shall call it "base") contains a couple of event handlers (worksheet change) that are needed.

As field users work in the workbook, the base sheet is copied by a macro to a new sheet. The user then works in the newly created sheet after they name it (via dialog box).

Once they're done with the "new" sheet, they return to the base sheet to create another new sheet, etc.

I've signed the macros to eliminate the security warning for the users on startup, but when the code copies the base sheet (and its handler code), it seems to have the effect of the user modifying the code themselves, thus stripping the workbook of the signature.

Is there a way to avoid this stripping of the signature in this case? The new sheets MUST have the same handler code as the base, and starting with a bunch of "new" sheets hidden (and having the "add" code merely unhide instead of copy) wouldn't work due to other constraints (mainly not having a standard number of "new" sheets needed)

Thanks for any help!!!

Brad
