I have an Excel workbook that has a splash sheet that forces the user to enable macros.
This is so a timer macro can be called--once macros are enabled, the real spreadsheet opens up, and after ten minutes of inactivity, it hides all the screens again, saves and closes.
The problem is now the users tell me they don't want the spreadsheet to save before closing. That would mean, of course, that the "real" sheet would still be visible upon opening (assuming the users had saved some of their own work previously), which stops the users from having to enable their macros, which means they won't get timed out, which is the whole point of all this...
Is there any way I can save the configuration of the worksheets without saving anything else that may have changed?
