Hi I have macro set up that used to work fine but has recently stopped working. It’s supposed to jump to todays date when I activate a sheet.

Private Sub Worksheet_Activate()
Dim DateRng As Range, DataCell As Range

Set DateRng = Range (“A:A”)
For Each DateCell In DateRng
If DateCell.Value = Date Then DateCell.Select

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
You should post code (please use code tags - vba button on posting toolbar) rather than type it. My answer would be that you're referencing DateCell everywhere but the declarations section, where you have DataCell, but I suspect that has nothing to do with your issue.

VBA Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_Activate()
Dim DateRng As Range, DataCell As Range

Set DateRng = Range (“A:A”)
For Each DateCell In DateRng
If DateCell.Value = Date Then DateCell.Select

Sorry I accidentally didn’t have all the code on there. This is the entire macro

I guess Option Explicit isn't being used, or I'm missing the point. Can't see why

For Each DateCell In DateRng
If DateCell.Value = Date Then DateCell.Select
isn't
For Each DataCell In DateRng
If DataCell.Value = Date Then DataCell.Select

when you declared
Dim DateRng As Range, DataCell As Range

That didn’t work. I’m not sure what you mean by option explicit?
