Hi and thanks for your help!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
My problem is:
I am working in a machinery planned maintenance system and I need to find a way to keep a date log when a machine has been maintained before.
Example:
D3 has the last date when a machine was maintained Ex May 12. If I change the date and put today's date for example, I want Excel to copy the old info of D3 (May 12 ex) insert a new cell in F3 and paste D3 (May 12) in F3. I would like to have in ROW 3 ( starting by F3) all the dates when that machine was maintained but starting by the newest one.

Thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome to MrExcel

I'm not sure why you want to over-write the data and then copy the old data to another part of the worksheet. If you want to have the latest data at the top of the list, how about inserting a row to add the new data such that the existing data is retained in date descending order - is that an option?

I constructed something similar to this for a fellow boarder using formulas. His needs were a bit complex, but I think what you're after is similar in that you want an input vehicle that allows you to log an individual maintenance event...and an archive sheet that will record and list all the inputs to compile the history. Correct?
