Keeping zeros in numbers imported to Excel

Hello. I am new to the forum and new to using Excel...and have an appropriately lame question. How can I keep initial zeros in numbers imported to Excel from a Datatel file? They have either two or three (e.g. 00123456, 000789100) and are in a single column. From reading earlier threads, it seems to be a filtering issue, but I didn't know if I should try to disable filtering or create a formlua.

Anyhow, obviously confused, I just thought I'd ask. Thanks for any advice!

Try formatting the cells as Text before importing.
