Hello All –
I’m trying to write some script for an excel file, my skill level is novice at best and could really use some help. My end goal is to embed this code in a button on the excel spreadsheet.
Here is the set up:
I have data in column A starting at line 11, the number of lines is variable. I then have a formula in column J, again starting at line 11, I would like to copy cells of Column J that are getting data from Column A (Not sure how to phrase this better. If there is data in A11-A44, I would like to copy J11-J44…). I need to paste this information in a newly created Notepad file, I would then like to have that notepad file saved to the users desktop with the following naming convention “{whatever the path is to the desktop}\TXT\{contents of cell A5}_TXT.LST”
It would also be nice to return a window to the user, that says something to the effect of:
“File blah, blah, blah has been created. (showing file name and path)”
Would you like to open this (with 3 selection boxes: Open File, Open Folder, No)?
