Leading spaces in AutoFilter

Looking for an article or some expert information on AutoFilter not recognizing leading spaces as valid characters. One thread that I worked revealed that the AutoFilter ignored the spaces completely and keyed on the first printable character to do the search and filter. Appreciate any feedback. JLG
 

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
