Learning all about Access

I've a rather large project to complete that will involve importing a database into access and running lots of queries, and probably lots of other things to. I can't really say much about what I need to do because I'm clueless about Access right now. So how do I go about learning? Is it worth me buying some Access book and reading them front to back? If so, which books would you recommend?

Learning as I go along hasn't really worked so far, there is so much to learn I don't know where or how to start. And my knowledge of Access near zero.

Yes, you will definitely want to learn the basics of Access and database design (especially concepts like normalization) before jumping into a project.
