Limited to the amount of Locked Cells?

Ive a workbook with several sheets and alot of locked cells in each but i seem to have hit a limit! the later sheets will not Lock the cells!?

I am not aware of any limits. I also didn't see any reference to locked cells here: https://support.office.com/en-ie/article/excel-specifications-and-limits-1672b34d-7043-467e-8e27-269d656771c3

Can you explain further? How are you applying the protection and cell locking? Manually or using VBA? How many sheets do you have?
