Linking two tabs based on common columns

I have a worksheet with two tabs. The two have four columns in common. One tab contains Places visited and the other has details about the places. I enter the places in the first sheet and it is automatically gets populated in the second sheet. The problem is that the second sheet has data four common columns as sheet 1 plus other details about the place and if there is a new place added it messes up the second sheet is I sort it. Is there an elegant solution without the need for me to type in common columns in two separate sheets and automatically link to correct rows. See attached sheet
