Hi Everyone,

I work for a retailer and want to know how many weeks it took each store to reach 80% and 90% of their highest recorded weekly sales.

To find the 80% and 90% mark for each store I used the '=percentile' function.

My data is laid out like the example below. The grey side is the store number and statistical measures. The blue side is the sales data. Week of operations in the top row and sales below it.

What would you do if you were me?

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
Take store 10 for example.

267711 is the highest recorded weekly sales figure.

214168.80 is 80% of this.

Are you after the first week in which they managed to turn over 214168.80 or more?

I should've mentioned that there are upwards of 150 weeks, but I am only showing 13 weeks.

Let's say that for store 10, the 80th percentile worked out to 226,378. 226,342 is the closest number to that and occurs in week 5. How do I return the number 5?
