Hi all

I want to be able to look for a comma or something inside a string and then return a true or false value depending if there is one present or not.
Can you help.

Antony

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
See the SEARCH and FIND functions, depending on whether you desire case-sensative matching.

Post back if you need more help.

I need to add it into my VB code, how do i do it?

Cheers

Ah, for VBA use the InStr function -

Code:
Sub y()
Dim i As Integer, s As String, c As Range
s = "x"
Set c = [a1]
i = InStr(c.Value, s)
MsgBox i
Set c = Nothing
End Sub
