Hello,
I manage a database which tracks all the work that my department handles throguh out the year. The database is stored on a server in connecticut, and used by team members located as far away as california. for me in connecticut, the speed of the database is fine. for those in california, however, it runs at a glacial pace.
My first thought is setting up a back end for the west coast which will talk to the east coast back end nightly and reconciles any differences. is this a good idea and/or possible?
This is the first database that i have managed, and while i've learned a lot so far, how to best go about this is a little beyond me. has any one had experience with this sort of thing that they could share?
Thanks,
Christian
