Look Up formula on another Workbook - using cell value in formula

Hi All

Can anyone help me please.


I have the following formula, which looks up to another workbook.

=SUMIF([Business_Analysis_January]NEW_INDIV!$A:$A,B2,[Business_Analysis_January]NEW_INDIV!$I:$I)

I am trying to replace B2 with the leftmost 5 characters of string B2, including before and after wildcards (needs to be relative formula) eg B2 contains Opportunity and I would like to look up *Oppor*,

and also January with the value in C2 (January) again needs to be copied down to other months.

try replacing B2 with "*"&Left(B2,5)&"*"

To change the workbook name try replacing [Business_Analysis_January]NEW_INDIV!$A:$A with INDIRECT("[Business_Analysis_"&C2&"]NEW_INDIV!$A:$A")
