Hello everyone

I have two tabs and need to match up a set of numbers.

In one tab (Claims) i have a column of ID's (column J) and in another tab (outcomes) I need to check to see if the same ID exits in column H and if the ID's are in the second tab return a date from column X in the second tab to the claims tab.

Is there a quick way to do this?

If it could goto the last record of both colums automatically rather than me setting it to line limit that would be excellent as well.

Thanks

It sounds like what you need is a VLOOKUP formula in the CLAIMS tab like this assuming that your data in both sheets starts in row one and I chose 300 arbitrarily (you can adjust this to match your data).

=VLOOKUP(J1,Outcomes!$H$1:$X$300,17,FALSE)

I'm not sure that I follow you for the rest of it, if you could clarify I will try and help you out.

Try,

=if(isnumber(match(j1,outcomes!h1:h1000,0)),index(outcomes!x1:x1000,match(j1,outcomes!h1:h1000,0)),"")
