Hello,

I would like to include a macro or VB code in my spreadsheet that does the following:

+if(A1="STOP",change tab color to RED,keep tab color green)

In other words, if cell A1's value is "STOP" color the tab red, if it's not "STOP", color it green.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Doug

Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
Sheets("Sheet1").Select
If Range("a1").Value = "Stop" Then
ActiveWorkbook.Sheets("Sheet1").Tab.ColorIndex = 3

Else
ActiveWorkbook.Sheets("Sheet1").Tab.ColorIndex = 4
End If
End Sub

You don't need to use a macro if you do not want to. Under Format>Conditional Formatting you can make the options "If cell value is equal to ="STOP"" Then you can adjust the formatting using the format button.
