Macro to Check User Accessible Permissions

I have an inventory file in which I have created an MS Query to source workbook, and it works great thanks to some tips I got here. However, many people need to use the inventory file, but no all of them have access to the share folder that has the source workbook. I found the macro to disable the connections, but is there a way for a macro to check if the user has access to that folder and disable links if they don't? This way it will update when I open it, but won't create any errors for people who don't have access.

Thanks in advance!

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
I was thinking that some kind of error handling in trying to open the source file would work. What do you think?
