I am pretty much a complete novice to macros and want to learn more knowing they will make my life much easier and there's lots of smart people here so mind as well start here. Here is my example. I have a workbook with 3 sheets (Balances, Accounts, Lists). I am trying to write a macro to 1st prompt me "What sheet would you like to filter" I would input Balances. The Balances sheet has 2 columns (ID and Product Type). Then the macro would prompt me "What column would you like to filter" I would would then type Product Type. Then the macro would prompt me "What list would you like to use" The Lists tab has 2 list (List A, and List B). I would input "List A". This is what I want the final product to be. The macro would go to the Balances tab, filter the product type column to only include those items in List A on the Lists tab and delete everything else. I want so each month I can drop in data in the balances tab and the accounts tab and use the macro to take out everything I don't need. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
