Hi

Hope someone can help with this mail merge question. I have an excel spreadsheet that uses a command button to open a mailmerge document. This document merges data from the spreadsheet into a number of letters. The mailmerge document was created using the Word wizard.

My question is, where is the code for the merge process held and is it possible to edit it?

One of the problems that I have is, athough the spreadsheet is open (obviously, as I using the command button!), when the word document opens a fresh copy of the same spreadsheet is also opened. Word then warns that there is already a copy of the spreadsheet in use! Although the procedure is workable, ideally I would like the word document to link to the spreadsheet that is already open.

Many thanks

Peter
