Using Windows 11: in one instance I save a spreadsheet as "macro enabled" type, I can save it, close it, and re-open it and it remains macro enabled, until I switch the computer off and reboot it, whereupon it has usually lost its macro enabled status. The macros included are written by me in visual basic, and I have many other spreadsheets including my own macros, which retain their macro enabled status no matter how many times I switch the computer on and off.
