Not the avergae, but the reciprocal.I'm racking my brains over this one - If A x B = C, should the average of A x the average of B = the average of C? I think logically it should but I can't make it work exactly in my spreadsheet.
As Joe pointed out the average of C is a weighted average. The only way you can calculate the average using the values A and B (and not C) is to average each line and sum the results, like this:I'm racking my brains over this one - If A x B = C, should the average of A x the average of B = the average of C?
