maximum amount of hours

I need to set a maximum amount of hours a person may accumulate

so on i6 i have the formula sum(i4:16), but this I6 cant go over 720 hours and maybe have pop up come up when this reached

This will limit the result to a max of 720:

=MIN(SUM(I4:I16),720)

Then why not use Conditional Formatting to color the cell with a formula something like this:

=SUM(I$4:I$16)>720
