mdb file appears to be missing

Hi all,

I've been asked to make some changes to a Database as work and I've come across a problem.

There is a Back End mdb file and a Front End mde file but nothing else.

Am I right in thinking that without the Front End mdb file I won't be able to make any changes to the Forms (without converting it back to an mdb)?

Thanks in advance (and apologies if this is a dumb question!),

Excel Facts

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
You can't make changes to forms on an MDE database. Do you have the original database before it was split?

Thanks for the conformation.

Sadly there seems to be no record of the original Database so I might have just picked up another build on my 'to do' list.

Oh well, at least it keeps me honest!

Thanks

I guess it depends how much work is involved in the rebuild, and what value your employer puts on the database.
It *is* possible to extract an mdb from the mde (for a fee: I saw one business several years ago, offering that service). Could be worth a search.
