Memo characters truncated

Good afternoon to all,

In access 2007 I had set up a report displaying notes entered by a form along with some simple data: date, user name, etc.

My issue concerns the memo type field. When reviewing the report including the notes the number of characters displayed is truncated. If I understand memo field type it should hold <= 64K characters, as well as display up to that amount of characters.

so maybe it's a property I've toggled wrongly or maybe it's a limit i'm not aware of.

Anyone?
Thanks,
-KS

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Are you storing multiple notes in one memo field or is it just one big note?

each record may have, in this memo field, hundreds or thousands of characters--say an email or couple paragraphs explaining an "issue" they're having with their work load, for instance.

The table field "Issues" is set to memo and when i zoom in all text is there. and after i run a query the same field with same data remains. But when I attempt to display "Issues" on a report the data is cut off at 255. Like Text type.

So, something's not right...

If the query does any grouping or uses a crosstab, the memo field will truncate. You can get around that by having another query with just the ID and memo fields, and using that to pull the unmodified memo field into the report.
Either:
1. Join the report query to the memo query, and use that in the report
or:
2. Put the memo in a subreport, using the ID field to sync with the main report
