I have a minor problem with cell copy. I copied a cell A1(contains text) of Sheet1 to another cell(ex. A1 of Sheet2) by using formula =Sheet1!A1. It worked OK. Whenever users enter text in A1 of Sheet1, that text will appear at the cell A1 of sheet2. However, sometime, I got few words missing from the original, especially long texts. Anyone can help me with this problem? Thank you in advance!

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
Do you have anything in B1 of Sheet2?

If so then you will have to make Column A wider to accomodate all the text from Sheet1- A1.

Thank you very much for your quick response!
B1 in sheet2 have something (this was also copied from B1 of Sheet1 (I copied 2 column from Sheet1 to Sheet2, and would like it auto update the content. Whenever users update the A column and B column, I will have the same content in Sheet2)

So, what you mean by saying make the column of A wider? The column A of Sheet 2? I did it but still missing some text....again only some time, especially a long text.
I would be very appreciate any help. thanks again...

Nelani was pointing out that a left-justified cell will display it's contents in cells to the right, as long as those cells are not populated. if they are populated, then it would appear truncated and you'd need to expand the column.

Since this is not the case, you mentioned that it seems to only happen on really long strings, check this out:

Hi,
Again, I still cant fix the problem, but I found out that when I open 2 Sheets, then in Sheet1 hit Save to update the cell info to Sheet2, then I see the whole text updated in cells of Sheet2. However, when i close the two sheets and open again, I see some missing words in sheet 2 again... Can any one help me, please! Thank in advance.
