Hi there

I have a new Acer Laptop that is running Windows 8, and has a pre-installed version of Microsoft Office, Home and Student 2013, and the paste function when using excel doesnt work.

I can click on a cell and select ( or CTRL C ) to copy, but the moment I try and paste it crashes.

If I carefully and slowly select the other paste options like Values, Formulas or Transpose then it seems to use them functions ok, but even just hovering over the paste option causes it to crash.

Similarly I can copy from excel and paste into word, but I cannot copy from word and paste into excel.

I have restarted the machine several times, there are no undownloaded patches that excel seems to want to update and I have no idea how to get round this problem.

Many thanks in advance for any helpful comments or suggestions

David
