My "remove duplicates won't work

My remove duplicates won't work because I have indentations on my work sheet.....when I go to format cells and select the entire column it won't fix my indentions? Is something locked?

Indentation is a format - should not affect Remove Duplicates. Can you post an example of your data and the desired result?

Its more likely that there is a special character in your duplicates
if you point this forumula to one of the indented cells what does it return?
=CODE(LEFT((A1)))

edit: or copy and paste the "indent" into find and replace and replace them with a blank ""
so after copying the indent press ctrl + H
in find what paste the indent
in replace with make sure its blank
then hit replace all
