Hi,

I was wondering how can refer to "#N/A" in an IF statement ?

i.e. IF(A1=#N/A,1,0) etc

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
#N/A is the output you receive in a particular formula.

The #N/A error value occurs when a value is not available to a function or formula.

However, If certain cells on your worksheet will contain data that is not yet available, enter #N/A in those cells. Formulas that refer to those cells will then return #N/A instead of attempting to calculate a value.

Also, you can override this output by different means in functions according to your requirements.

If you actually want to just return 1 or 0, you could do this:

=ISNA(A1)+0

ISERROR is a bit overkill for #N/A, ISNA checks for #N/A errors.
