How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
Yes it is possible. Add the following line to the macro you want to track.
Code:
Range("A1").Value = Range("A1").Value + 1

Probably best to throw it at the beginning of the macro
Code:
Sub CloseShift()
     '// Tracks the number of time the macro has run.
    Range("A1").Value = Range("A1").Value + 1
    '// Macro Code
    '...
End Sub
