Need advice on creating US map charts

I have excel 2007 and would like to create carts that color different states (and maybe cities).

Ex. Spend in CA is $10M, so dark color, spend in AZ is $2M, so light color, etc.

Is there an add-in I need?

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
