I'm not sure what I am doing wrong and I would like some suggestions (or directions to fix this problem:

1. I am running Microsoft Access 2007 SP2
2. I have a form with a subform in it.
3. By default both the form and the subform have navigation buttons and search buttons at the bottom of each form.

Problem: I want to hide (or delete) the navigation and search buttons from the subform only.
When I go into the subform properties and turn off the navigation and search buttons, they disappear - perfect! :) This is what I want.

But when I display the subform inside the other form, the navigation and search buttons reappear (even if the subform is saved with the properties off. I have looked at the properties of the form (not subform) and the navigation button and search button properties control the form itself, not the subform. If I turn these off in the properties, the form bar goes away and the subform still has both set of button on it.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the subform navigation and search buttons when it is installed in a form???

Any help is appreciated!

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
Please excuse the double post, I literally had a spasm in my hand and double-clicked. It posted twice! Sorry.

Dear Lidsavr,

Have you

1. Saved your changes from when you removed the Navigation Buttons From Your Subform

2. Checked to see if there's any Event Code running in the background which would add Navigation Buttons to your Subform

3. Checked to be sure that the Navigation buttons that you're seeing on the Subform are not actually on the Main Form?

Hi Bill,
1. Yes, I the changes were saved prior to running the subform.

2. There isn't any event code running the the background.

The navigation buttons are on the subform and the bottom of the regular form, unless I go into the form properties, then the form buttons disappear, but not the subform.

Thanks for looking at this.

Dear Charles,

Sorry I couldn't be of much help. This sounds like a technical Access Issue and there isn't a technical Access Problems Forum here.

My only other suggestions might be to try to recreate the form and see if the error happens again or contact Microsoft.

Hope you solve your problem,
Bill
