I'm building a bar chart using 3 separate series on Excel Mac 16.16.12.

Creating the chart from series 1 is ok. Adding series 2 creates an issue in that it alters the data in series 1.

Description of issue:
  • The original chart has "Series 1 Point "A"".
  • I add a second series and the second series is called "Series 2 to "B"; however, "Series 1 Point "A"" then changes its name to "Series 1 Point "B"".
  • The horizontal category axis does not combine both series. When I add series 2 to the chart. it changes from entries for series 1 only, to entries for series 2 only.

The bars on the graph indicate the correct values for both series 1 and series 2, the issue is with the series point descriptions and the horizontal category axis.

The 3 series I am working with comes from a total of 16 non-contiguous sets of cell ranges, if that makes a difference.

Series 1 has 6 sets, series 2 has 4 sets, and series 3 has 6 sets.

Anyone else experienced this issue? If so, what's the solution?

Thank you.
