I know...it has, for a change, nothing to do with coding. But maybe some or one of you has one or wants this: I'm constantly thinking of ways to make things easier, whether it's coding or building things. I've come up with an idea for an expansion arm for a notebook. If I am sitting on the sofa and the notebook is on the coffe table about 24 inches away, an accordion or some type of extension arm would open and bring the notebook to me as close as I want, and fold back up into a compact square space under the notebook when not in use. The base would have to be heavy, of lead or something, the arm would pivot like those old accordion measuring rulers of the past, and because of the moment force created by the weight of the notebook and the cantilevered length(about 35 inches). It's a neat concept, and I could build this, but does one exist already...?

Just some thoughts. BTW, my Excel register is working like a well oiled Quicken register, thanks to all of you in the world.

Thanks for any help on where I might find this expanding base, if one exists.
