Hi,

I have a large spreadsheet (a few hundred lines long).

Please reference the data set called "now". I need to calcuate the values shown in "need" as follows:

1) Search the values in Column "A" and focus on only those rows having the lowest value(s). In the example below, rows 4 and 7 are ignored, and corresponding column, B, C, D values are set to zero.

2) Of the remaining rows (3, 5 and 6 in this case), choose the highest value remaining in column B, C, D and set all other remaining values to zero.

Thanks.

3) Lastly, is there any way to do a macro for this. I need to apply this condition to parts of a spreadsheet...not always all of it.

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
Have you looked at the AutoFilter functionality? You can do that on a selected range, and it's easy to specify criteria for each column... the good thing about Autofilter is that it's easy to reset and chop up the data another way, without re-writing macros.
