% of chnage from prior period to current period

Hello I have pivot table where I am showing prior period number and current period numbers.

I would like to add a column in pivot table that auto calculate the % change from prior period to current period.

Please help me how can I add the field to show % of change.

The easiest way I can think of to do this is to add a Calculated Field to the PivotTable
In XL2010...
You would do this by clicking anywhere in the PivotTable. Under the PivotTable Tools>Options ribbon, in the Calculation section, select the Fields, Items, & Sets link
In the subsequent drop-down click Calculated Field...

Set the Name of the Field to whatever you want it to be called (e.g. % of Change)
In the formula field, it should be ='Current Period'/'Prior Period' -1
Where Current Period and Prior Period are the associated field names from your Pivot.
Finally, set the field number format to Percentage and you should be good.

Is there a way to remove/delete calculated column? I have by mistake inserted a calculated column without any calculation.

Sure. Go back to Insert Calculated Field (like you are adding one)
Then select the Name of the 'bad' field from the drop-down and click the Delete button.

Is that really necessary? A Value Field Setting opotion is Show Values As... % Difference From and choose (previous)
