I know how to copy data to the clipboard.
My question is regarding formulas

If you copy a formula, it copies the value only.
If you click in the formula bar and copy the formula, that works, but the cell references are not treated as relative.

Is there a way to copy a formula to the clipboard so that you can paste it as a relative formula?

For instance, I have numbers in A1 & A2
In cell A3 is the formula =A1+A2

Is there a way that I can use the clipboard and paste the formula in cell C3 and it says =C1+C2

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
I have come across a partial step. If you go to the office button - Options - Formulas - R1C1 Reference Style
and then copy the formula in the formula bar, it works.

But then all of your formulas are in R1C1 style until you turn it back.

I am hoping for a simpler option.

Any ideas?
