Omit trailing value

Greetings, I'm trying to determine how I can omit trailing values of a column. Further, I'm not able to use the val() function due to the preceding numbers are typically 20 characters long, but can be as little as 15 characters.

Ex:

12345-
1234
12345
123-
1-
1

In sum, I need to keep the values less the trailing hyphen. Is there a simple way to accomplish?

Thanks!

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
You can, in a query, create your own field by using

MyNewName:IIf(Right([OriginalFieldNameHere],1)="-", Left([OriginalFieldNameHere], Len([OriginalFieldNameHere])-1), [OriginalFieldNameHere])
