Hi,

I need to open workbooks in different instances over multiple screens. I know it is possible to do that by opening instance by instance and then open the files in each instance separately, but I want it the old way when files opened in separate instances by simply double clicking them.

Did some web research and found a way through explorer
1. explorer/tools/folder options/file types
2. select xls or xlsx
3. click advanced
4. select open then edit and remove the tick at use dde

I did that, but it didn't work (can't fint ...xls, can't find ... on double clicking an xls) annoying. I was stupid enough not to write down the parameter values before I removed the tick and when I reverted to use dde, the values were gone and I still get those can't find messages.

First Q: Anyone knows the default values in those parameters/?

Second Q: Any solution for my initial problem to open each book in a separate Excel instance on double click.

Thanks

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
