Paste as Picture Excel 2007

When making a presentation, I sometimes like to paste a theme picture over the data. In Excel 2002/03 the transparency feature allowed me to make the picture transparent enough to read the data. With Excel 2007, the transparency feature doesn't seem to work. I've used many combinations in the format picture toolbox and have not been able to achieve the good results I did in previous versions of Excel. Is this a known issue and does anyone have a solution? Thanks in advance,

Alan

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
I have recreated your dilemma on my end, but have found a work around. Instead of inserting a picture, insert a rectangular shape and then choose Shape Fill | Textures | More Textures.

In the 'Format Picture' dialog choose Insert from: File, choose your picture, then adjust the transperancy below. Then set the shapes line format to No Outline.

Hope this helps.
