Is there an excel function for calculating discounted payback period.

Perhaps if you can clarify what a discounted payback period is and give some examples, I'm sure someone can help you.

I don't belive there is a built-in Excel function that will, But try looking at the code in the following add-in:

FAME_Payback(CashFlows, Rate) should calculate the Discounted Payback Period. I haven't actually tested it though.
