can someone help me with my hoe computer 2003-2007 excel

It seems that if you have recorded a macro in personal macro workbook excell doesnt close completly when closing a work book

personal workbook is hidden of course but this is what happens

i open excel by double clicking an excel workbook file.

i close it using the x button and the workbook closes fine but excel stays open. i then have to click close again so excel close completely

excel 2010 doesnt do this.

ps. it dosnt matter what excel file Im opening

this is trivial but a pain. if anyone has a fix as in a macro or setting im missing... let me know

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
You need to hold Shift down and click the X to close in 2007 (2003 should be fine) if you have any files in your XLSTART folders.
