Thank you for your support. I would like to ask a number of questions but for now just one.
Your trick 42 shows how to put pictures into the comment of a cell. It was based on a single cell.
I have a need to have it happen row by row based on a part number which is also the Folder name in which the pictures are placed and based on the picture name, both of these are in the row in question. The picture needs to appear in the comment of the description cell in the same row. There for in a row you have the part number ##-##-NNNN and the picture name @@@@@.jpg, the folder where the picture is E:\My Documents\####\######\##-##-NNNN

Hope you can help

Mr Excel & excelisfun Trick 42: Lookup Picture In Excel Formula or VBA

So you have a spreadsheet with all the information (be handy to know which column has the Part Number and which column contains the Picture name)

Are you wanting a macro to loop through all the worksheet and insert Picture comments for each row? According to the information already contained in each row?

Yes yes

I have a stock number in ColumnE ... a description in ColumnK and a picture name (name.jpg) in ColumnBH. I would love it if the comment in the description could auto get a picture. there are times when the picture name is not yet inplace. All the pictures are in a folder with the same name as the "stock number". Boy I hpoe you can help, I will be very greatfull.

Re: Please .... Please Picture?

Hi GlennUK
I just watched it and it allows you to place a picture in the comment of a cell which has a validation list attached. Then as you change the selection a new picture jumps up related to the selection. Boy if I explained that right I will be surprised

I will watch it when I'm logged on somewhere that'll allow that ( at home, if I have time ) ... sounds interesting. I've done a lot of things with pictures over the years, but never that one.

Oh boy. I feel like a bit of a fool. I am sure that what you propose will work ..... if only I knew how to adjust it. I am fairly good with Excel but not very good with VBA.
