Pivot Table and slicers

Greetings I’m making good process in a pivot table with slices as I can with a few clicks of the mouse get the metrics I need. However, for some reason the pivot table sometimes clears the coloring scheme when the row is shifted up. How can I ensure this doesn't happen? Thank you.

Her original reaction was to apply conditional formatting (CF) but it seems it didn't work, she then suggested abandoning the background color or using a macro to reapply the formatting.
