Pivot Table - can't create as headers are repeated from Row 1

My spreadsheet is a list of transactions for the year. I have used the print headers function to have the same column headers on the top of each page.

One of the columns in a numerical indicator of the month, and each time this changes, I have a pivot table summarising that month's data.

This means the data range is broken at the end of each month.

When I come to create the pivot table for P2, I have no column headers any more (i.e. they are visibly there, but only because they are copied from row 1).

Am I right there is no way to "persuade" Excel to use the headers from row 1 in the other pivot tables?

My current solution would be to have an actual row header on each change in month which is hidden so that it doesn't print twice - but seems inefficient?
