Hi,

I am having trouble with my pivot table. I have two tables of data, one containing a sales annual targets, and a second containing how much their sales are per month as shown below.

Project Project Total
A01 100
A02 200
A03 300

Project Sales Amount
A01 April 2011 10
A01 May 2011 5
A02 April 2011 10
A02 May 2011 10
A03 June 2011 10

I have built a pivot table to look like

......................................................Month Apr May Jun Monthly Total
Project ................Project Total
1
2
3

What I require now is an additional column in the pivot table to show:

Project Total – Monthly Total (e.g. the total remaining)

Have tried putting formulas into pivot table but have hit a brick wall!

Any help much appreciated

Thanks

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
Hi.

Thanks for the reply srizki but I am still struggling.

I have been through the links and think it may have something to do with “Difference from”

However, I cannot see a way of creating a formula to subtract a Grand Total from another field???
