Hi ,

I have two worksheets. In Col A of both sheets is an account number. In Col B of Sheet1 is Actuals. In Col B of Sheet2 is Budget.

How do I create a pivot table with the account number in the row and the actual AND budget number in the data?

The layout using Row, Column, Page1 and Value confuses me.

Thanks in advance,
XLML

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
In the Pivot Wizard, are you selecting "Multiple Consolidation Ranges"?

In the next dialog are you wanting to create the page fields or let Excel do it? Letting Excel do it on one page seems to work fine for this (unless I misunderstand).

On the last dialog, select the range, click Add, then select other range, and click Add.

I got it to work by moving Page1 to the Column and Column off the layout. I don't understand why this works but it does.

Also what if I have 3 columns and I want col A & B (the Account # and Category) to appear in the Row section?
