Pivot Table Not Refreshing From Mac to PC

HI,
I am new here and hoping someone can help!

I have an updated 365 version of Excel on my macbook. When making pivot tables, I can right click on "refresh data" and the data will refresh with what was newly entered into the table.

However, when I send these spreadsheets to non-mac users (it seems) the "refresh data" doesn't work. The pivot table refreshes to give a grand total and I loose all the rows and columns. Any idea how to fix this?

My ultimately goal was to have an automatically refreshed pivot table but I am don't know how to write code or macros. So I really need the pivot table to refresh when clicked.

Any and all help is MUCH APPRECIATED!!
