Good afternoon,

I have a Pivot Table showing data from a PowerPivot table that is causing me an issue.

I have set the Pivot table up from Power Pivot by selecting Home - Pivot Table - Pivot Table which has worked, but I want to add a calculated field once this in Excel to add a few pieces of information up.
The issue is I am unable to add a calculated field as it is greyed out when I select "PivotTable Analyze" - "Calculated Field"

Is there a way to do this as I want to insert a row so I can total a few of the fields in the Pivot Table together

thanks in advance
Gavin

Excel Facts

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
It's hard to be sure without seeing an example of the data you're working with but if the data is coming from a Power Pivot table then you'll probably need to use a measure in the PowerPivot window to get the result you want or do the calculations in the Power Pivot table but adding new columns etc.

Can you share your data and desired outcome?

Solution
thanks for replying back, I got around the error by dropping the info I am looking at into a table in a sperate tab and then run the pivot from this.
