Pivot Table Question

Sorry to sound very ignorant, but I have been searching resources, (including MS "Help"), books, etc., to no avail:

Using the Pivot Table Field option with the Advanced screen available, I would like to take a field and show it as a "% of" a "Base field", making it a useful calculated field (In this case, I don't want to use the "Calculated Field" option).

What happens is: "#N/A" (every time, regardless of DB). Sorry, but I do not understand.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much,

Bob in California
